How do I know what size fits me best? If you are consistently the same size across most brands, order the same size from us. Please look at the detailed sizing chart if you have any questions. Our jeans are made of stretch denim. They are super stretchy and comfy! Brigid and Sonia jeans are more stretchy than Jennifer. Jennifer is a firmer pant and feels slightly more structural. Please review the fiber content on the product pages.
Can I order multiple pairs of jeans to try on? Sure. You can order multiple sizes to check the fit and return the ones you do not want to keep- you must send them back ASAP or within 7 days of receiving the jeans.
How will you ship my jeans? We ship our jeans to you via USPS, FedEx or UPS.

Where do you make your jeans? Our jeans are sewn in San Francisco and hand perforated with our proprietary perforation process in Nevada City, California.
Where are you based? We are based in Nevada City, California. Nevada City is in Northern California, nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, about one hour northeast of Sacramento. It’s beautiful here!

How should I wash my jeans? Initially, for the first couple of washes, wash your jeans separately on a “hand wash” or “delicates” setting on your washing machine. After the first couple of washes, wash with like colors on a normal cold water setting. Hang dry. Don’t put them in the dryer.
Are your jeans organic? No, not yet. At this point we are such a small producer that organic fabrics are not available to us in a quantity that we can use. In time we aim to offer organic jeans.
What is a "patent pending perforation process"? Our jeans are hand perforated using a tool that we designed and created, in house and have applied for a patent on. In the patent application process, once the paperwork is accepted by the Patent Office, the application becomes Patent Pending. This covers the tool itself, the LOOK it creates and more... These perforations are our signature look.
Refund & Exchange Policy for Customers who buy on our Website:
Refund & Exchange
You can return your jeans if they don't fit, etc... for a refund or exchange asap within 7 days of receiving them. If 7 days have gone by since you received your jeans, we can not offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, your jeans must be unused and in the same condition that you received them. They must also be in the original packaging with hang tags and labels still attached. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned jeans. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days.
Exchanges: If you need to exchange your jeans for a different size, etc... send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and return the jeans using the prepaid enclosed shipping label.
In every shipment, we enclose a return label for you to use if you need to return your jeans. If you exchange your jeans for a different size, shipping for the exchange will be free the first time. After the first exchange, if you need to exchange again, you will be responsible for all shipping costs.
We do not keep lots of jeans in stock- we make them to order. So depending on what we have in inventory and what you order, the time it will take from when you send back your jeans to when your jeans exchanged reach you, will vary. We will let you know if we have your exchanged jeans on stock or when the soonest they can be made and when they ship.
WHOLESALE Terms & Conditions:
Payment & Order Transactions: For first time wholesale customers of Butterfly Artifact, the minimum order quantity is 10 units. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, payment for the Goods shall be made at the time the order is placed via Buyer’s credit card or Buyer’s check to Eileen Kennedy Design, LLC. For orders of value $10,000 or greater, we offer payment option of 60% at time of order and 40% at time of Delivery. Once you submit an order, it can not be cancelled by you. All sales are final. Any variation to any order must be agreed to in writing and the total price may alter as a result of any variation and Buyer agrees to pay any increase. No refunds will be processed. Butterfly Artifact may refuse to accept or cancel any order or delivery of Goods at any time by giving written notice to Buyer. Butterfly Artifact shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from such cancellation.
Shipping: Domestic shipping within the continental United States is included in the Wholesale Price. Wholesale shipping via FedEx or LTL Freight. We do not ship international orders at this time. We keep a limited number of all sizes in stock. If we have your full order on hand, we can ship within two weeks. Wholesale orders are typically made to order and depending on the size of order, we estimate shipping 6-8 weeks from order. Cut Off Date & Delivery: All orders for Feburary 1, 2020 Delivery must be placed by November 1, 2019.
Returns: Wholesale purchases made by Buyer are ineligible for return. Under certain conditions, exchanges may be made for unsatisfactory merchandise that is unused and in original packaging with all tags attached. Whether or not items are eligible for exchange is at the sole discretion of Butterfly Artifact. All exchanges must be initiated within 7 days of receipt of goods. Jurisdiction: Any transactions between the Buyer and the Seller are governed by the laws of California. To the extent that any court proceedings are commenced, the Buyer and any Guarantor hereby consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Nevada County, California for any claims or controversies arising in the sale of garments by the Seller to the Buyer.
